Aircraft Structure Designing using 3D printing to reduce Material Loss
RICHARD JOHNSON SELVARAJ
Abstract

Additive manufacturing is the most prominent technology developing in all the engineering and manufacturing sectors. 3 D parts are made and used in various components. Advancement of composite and 3d printing joins hand and produced lots of products to the market. Aerospace industries started their turn in making parts using 3D printing technology. Many industries are making their drones and quad raptors by using 3d printing. Aircraft manufactures started making components like clamps. Fuel nozzles and much more. It already achieved a dramatic changes in the medical industry now the 3D printing using materials like steel, aluminum and other alloys made it so easier to make complex design and simple manufacturing technology. In this project we are working on to figure out the possibility of making the aircraft internal structure using 3D printing where the manufacturing and the material cost is much higher in this sector.
